Submission guidelines.

Eligibility
  • Self-published books and books from qualifying hybrid or traditional publishers are welcome.
  • The author must have lived in Canada for at least one year as a resident or citizen, or the submitted book must be published by a Canadian publisher.
  • Books must be written in English.
  • Publication dates must fall between January 2016 and April 2027.
  • A CANREADS editorial review is not required to enter.
Category selection
  • Select the category that best fits your book. Contact info@canreads.ca for help before submitting.
  • CANREADS may merge or remove categories with insufficient entries. Affected titles are automatically reassigned to the most appropriate related category and remain fully eligible for consideration.
  • CANREADS may add categories when enough submissions fall within a clearly defined genre or subgenre that is not already listed.
Submission instructions
  • Enter and pay through the CANREADS submissions page. No account is required.
  • Manuscript collection instructions are sent after your order is placed.
  • An electronic copy in PDF or EPUB format is required. Physical copies are optional; request the mailing address from CANREADS.
  • Your submission is considered once payment is confirmed and your book is received.
